All hotels rated 5-star are automatically entered into this category. Properties that are in unique locations and have very good facilities, or are among the best in its region are also categorized as Platinum.

 
Gold Hotels
Gold hotels are properties that have a very high level of service, many offerings, and good overall facilities.

All 4-star properties are automatically categorized as Gold Hotels. Properties in unique locations that offer guests most of the amenities at above-average service level are listed in the gold category. Example: The Riverside Spring Resort, Kuringtar is the best property along the highway that connects Kathmandu-Pokhara. It has an excellent restaurant and swimming pool, but only average rooms.

Silver Hotels
Silver Hotels are properties that have good service, some of the standard offerings, and good overall facilities.

All 3-star properties are automatically categorized as Silver Hotels. Properties that are located in unique locations but only offer basic amenities have been listed as Silver Hotels.
